ー背景の模様についてー
蜀江（しょっこう）文様は、八角形と四角形を繋げた連続文様です。名前は中国の三国時代の国のひとつ「蜀」に流れる河の「蜀江」に由来しており、この地域で作られた絹織物の文様として多くみられたようです。 日本では、蜀江文様は古くから有職文様のひとつとして扱われてきました。有職文様とは、平安時代以降の公家装束や調度品などに使われた、格式ある伝統文様のことです。
