With colourful masks and costumes, accompanied by flute and drums, stories inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore come to life on stage. The programme includes an auspicious performance featuring Ebisu and Daikokuten. Edo Sato Kagura is largely non-verbal, with stories expressed through masks, movement and gesture, so no knowledge of Japanese is required. Everyone is welcome, including families and anyone interested in Japanese festivals, culture and traditional performing arts.
